The school was founded in 1866, and it is still going to this day!
ACE Nursery School
The school was founded in 1966 as a parents’ co-operative by the Advisory Centre for Education in conjunction with Janet Weinroth, the first Supervisor (or Headteacher). Since it began all parents have made a practical contribution to the running of the nursery and it is noted for its warm, caring and progressive approach to early years child education. ACE still retains its reputation as one of the most successful nursery schools in Cambridge and is still there in that handsome Regency building on the Kite’s edge.
